Project Details: Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) released this $300M contract to perform design and construction services over a three year term utilizing progressive design-build or CMGC delivery. This Project delivered the design and construction services for structural improvements, utility relocations, demolition of existing of facilities, roadway improvements, and other enabling infrastructure improvement projects and services for the 38 individual projects that all fall under the LULEP Program. These projects each required their own scheduling, funding, design, project teams, and overall coordination.
This program covers over 460 acres expanding east of LAX along W. Century Blvd. This program included the execution of 38 individual projects, each spanning from $5-$30M. The contractor joint venture was awarded this program with the understanding and expectation that clear and constant collaboration throughout the program was key to see each project successfully completed, and A1 was engaged to help meet this goal.
