Project Details: The last section of the Purple Line Extension Transit Project, Section 3, will add 2.56 miles of new rail to Metro’s Rail system and connect downtown Los Angeles to the Westside. The two new stations will be added at Wilshire/Westwood and on the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs property.

Success Story: The design-build was having challenges with configuration management, as well as maintaining drawings and specifications in a single location for the project team to ensure the most current plans were used in the field. The A1MI team was able to work with the team to develop a custom dashboard to simplify plan storage, ensuring that all personnel with access to it were working from the correct plans. As the project progresses, this will also be a solution for the design-builder to maintain as-built drawings and information that will allow the project to reach successful closeout.
